Could a keep some Red Bellied Piranha in a 100Gal tank for life ?

If so how many ?

Probily not but could i keep any other fish in with them ?

Yes you would be fine with 5 or 6. With awesome filtration arguably more.

*EDIT*As for the other fish:

Most people will say no. If you're worried about the fish lives / money I would not try anything.

For adult P's I have only seen pleco's and small fast fish like tetras or zebra danios.
With pleco's its a hit or miss, it depends on the personality of both the pleco and your P's. I have heard people have more success if the pleco starts out much larger and establishes the tank first. Eventually you are still running the risk of them killing him.
When I kept my 5 adult reds I had several zebra danios in the tank with them. With about 20 danios, the fastest 40% or so survived and lived with them for several months.

I had a crayfish live for about a month until he was brave enough stop hiding. They bit right through his armor.

You can experiment, but you will most likely end up with expensive feeders.

100 long or tall?

I have a 100 long and I have 11 5+inch rbp's in the tank. I run 2 AC100's and 1 FB300 fluidized bed filter. I do 15% water changes every week and I am thinking I need to down-size the shoal very very soon. I will most likely drop down to 5 rbp's.

I have one very large pleco in the tank. It has been in the tank for a few months and they don't bother with it. I have a few different areas inthe tank for it to hide.

I feed mine once a day, so they are happy.

100Gal long of cause , 4 x 2 x 2foot .

How fast do Red Bellied Piranha grow ?

i'd say 5 0r 6 for life no more
they can get to about 12inches with in 3 years
you want an fx 5 that will give you perfect filtration
what is it a rio 400 or something like that?

yea man you could do around 6 or 7 with good filtrartion of course

Thanks , not really sure what the tank is , i got it off Ebay about 5months ago which currently have the fish what are in my Sig' what will be going in a 240gal tank in about 4/ 5 months time and then hopyfully i can find some Red Bellied Piranha for the 100gal tank .

I have two 1200 Tetratec's on the 100Gal at the moment do you think that will be enough for 5/ 6 Red Bellied Piranha ?

Whats true ? Please say just so i know and can ever improve my setup or just know that i am doing good with it .

I do have a Fx5 coming should hopfully be here tomorrow to go on my 240Gal tank when i get that tank but will probily get 1 or 2 more for it later on , so i will setup the Fx5 on the 100Gal tank for now and if it does better than both of the Tertatec1200 i will probily get one for 100Gal tank .
