I just got a 55g tank from an ad in the paper and it came with a free 12 yr old red bellied and he's huge:D
I also got a smaller red bellied for my birthday so I put them together and they get along very well, the larger one seems to be very protective of the smaller one
I was wondering if it would be okay to keep snails with piranhas
or a baby rubber lip pleco( which darts around a lightning speeds) I figured it might be able to out run it if they ever tried to eat him but I would like some opinions

Snails are fine.
Might get eaten sometimes, but they're cheap anyways.

how big are natts in that tank? i can guarantee you that the larger one is not being protective of the smaller one

^^^lol i agree
and 2 is a bad number, 3 pygos work better

I swear it protects it!! lol i'm scaping the tank right now and if I go anywhere near the smaller one ithe big one lunges at my hand :o
