how many red bellies you'll think i could put in a 120 gal tank..its 5 feet long..it has plenty of driftwood in it provided hiding places. I also got some fake plants in it. I currently have 5 half dollar sized ones in a different tank but I want to get more to put in my 120 gal.

5ft 120g I'm guessing the width would be 18"?
what you have now is fine but if you want to add more I think you'll be ok with maybe 2-3 more as long as your filtration can keep up and you get them at similar size and introduce them properly so they are not being targeted as food when you first introduce them into the tank

dont get more 5 will be good. and they wont always be fighting
I agree if you really want you could probably overstock and keep 8 happy their whole lives but really i hate seeing tanks absoolutely stuffed with fish and 8 12" fish in a 6 foot long tank isn't the most comfortable situation by any means.

I keep 6 in a 150 and i like how theres still alot of room for them all to swim around it let's me decorate more heavily and keep other fish in there (pleco, convicts etc). Without having ultra-high nitrate readings.

i really hate the whole JDM tank trend in the piranha section.

i have a 120 gal (4x2x2) and have 5 rbp in there all about 3". they seem happy and healthy, can't stress enough filtration, filtration, filtration.

I've got 7 in a 180G. And theres not enough room. Looking to un load them to a good home..

I've had a Jack Dempsey for over 7 years now, and I'm considering trading it in to the local exotic pet store down the road...

They have 3 piranhas currently, (2) 3 inchers, and one 6 incher.

I have a 55 gallon tank, and I'm getting a new canister filter in a few days.

You serious about giving them away? What do you have? Maybe we can work something out.
