Red Bellies trimming plants

Hi,

I couldn't help but notice my Piranha love to undue any plant work I do.

Anyone have a tip on how to resolve this ?

Or is everyone using fake plants?

do you add plants when the p's are already in the tank?
if you plant the tank first and give them time for them to root then add the p's that would be better. see if you can put a divider and plant just part of the tank at a time. good luck

after spending more money then id like on live plants i only have some amazon grass and a couple other plants that are real all the others are silk..

my reds dont touch the swords and vals that I have in their tank

my rhom and elong dont touch any of the plants in their tank either.

what kind of plants do you have? amazons, microsorum, java are all good plants to have with Ps.

dunno their age, but when breeding, they often clean the plants for the nest... but if you have fragile plants, pretty sure its just a matter of plant choice

i have amazons, anubias, cabomba, and water sprite on the top and my rbp's have never touched them, and even if they did that stuff grows so fast im not sure id notice
