When do Red Bellied Piranhas start to get there red bellies? Becasue i ahve a few ones that I got when they were an inch and now they are about 2 inches and still no color on there bellies. Thanks.

mine are probably only 1.5-2 inches right now and i can see the red in all of them.. but it wasn't like that before i put in black sand.. so i guess it depends on the tank and the substrate .. my old one would also lose all its color when it slept and regain it back after being woken up..
