One of my baby Red belly piranha has got this dark coloration on its lower jaw.. Can anyone tell me what this is? Hope it's not mouth rot or something :(

Just bruising from glass banging. Sometimes they can be bumps aka chimples. Pretty common with skittish young pygo. Just keep water clean, feed well and it wont be an issue.

Wait till their 8" and they slam the glass!

Thanks a ton! I feel somewhat relieved! Will add some aquarium salt anyways!

These fish are so shy sometimes I doubt if they will ever get aggressive! But they are better from before...

It's just his goatee growing in! Haha naw he might if just hit the glass, they are skidish fish and will bounce off the glass every now and then. But on top of his body, he might of bumped up agents the heaters. My group would play around the heaters in my tank.

Update : Seems to be healing. Was probably a heater burn again! (-_-)

First pic looks like his lower lip just got bitten off. If that's all it is, it should grow back. Hard to see if there's any further damage from my phone.

Even I have a feeling it's a bite.. It's the 2nd biggest fish in my shoal so I think it could be a territorial fight or something.. Just hope it's not infectious!
