red belly piranha with my pacu in same pond

[FONT=&quot]i have 4 pacu from past 1yr now in my 1000g pond and now i want to add 2 juvenile red belly piranha with my pacu in same pond they r abt 3inch so can i add it ??if no why ?? plz give me reson[/FONT]

Here's a pic of a pacu that was housed with RBPs (from a rescue, still alive in these pics!).

Having said that, the pacus can do the same to your Ps if they're much smaller.

ouch thats brutal, after seeing that I would definatly advise not to put them together lol
 
if well fed and in a large pond you should not have that problem. i had 2 15 inch pacu housed with 5 red belly in a 180 for over 2 years in my 20s. i never had a problem. but thats just my experience. sounds like a few others here dont think it would be a good idea so to be on the safe side. maybe you shouldnt. all we can do is share and that first pic sure doesnt look pretty
 
The piranhas are going to grow FAST so they'll be big and ready to munch pacu within a few months. I'm not saying its impossible but I would be catious.
