Red belly piranha's and lights???

Hey everybody, Im a new member and just looking for some help. I have a 125 g tank with 8 medium red bellies in it. When I first got them I could leave the light on for a couple of hours and it would not phase them at all. Now that they have grown quite a bit, as soon as the lights come on they run and hide. why is that?
Also if anyone could recommend the best pellet food for them it would be appreciated.

Welcome!! but you should of post this in the piranha section. Could be that your tank doesn't have enough space.. i could be wrong tho!!
