Red Blood Parrot and Green Texas trying to spawn?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You will get a couple good Red texs if the parrot is of good quality, But majority culling will be necessary. They will get rather aggressive in a community so keep your eyes on them. They could go crazy in the blink of an eye. 10gal is much too small for a fish to be healthy enough to produce viable eggs.

I thought crossing BP and Texas was how you got Red Texas?

Edit: I see you edited your post above.

Haha yeah, its late, For some reason I read BP x Green terror:screwy: which is an impossible cross.

Bp x Tex is a very early stage of modern Red tex. The Red texs that are orangey red and look like Carpintis are made from that cross, which arent very valuable but pretty fish non the less.
The big beefy flowerhorn type Red tex are a product of many years of selective breeding from breeders who have all but mastered targeting desirable traits. Those guys simply arent possible with a bp and texas.

thanks I would put them in my 29gallon but right now I have blue gene depsey fry although they could probably go in the 10 gallon only have about 8 of them
