Red bump on bichir!? help!

My 5 inch senegal has a red bump on it which i discovered today... i don't know what happened but im thinking food might have gotten stuck in his digestion track?

he's with a jack dempsey, a pike cichlid, and 2 other senegals about teh same size..

help please!

that JD or pike must of injured it. Ditch the JD!

it's a bump though, not a flat mark! is it possible that food got stuck in his digestive track and bulged up?

I would guess injury from an external source, that has gotten infected. Raise the temp and add salt. Good luck.

Could very well be an infected bite wound.

Treat with salt and heat, looks like an infection like mentioned before.

good luck. IMO, cichlids don't work well with bichirs.
