red bumps on fin please help

i feel like im so stupid i cant figure this one out and i think its getting worse ive been treating with melafix but no change. please help and tell me what this is and how to get it gone. he is eating and doesnt seem to acting any different i also do weekly water changes about 20% to 30% and thats cleaning the gravel too. he is the male to my breeding pair of green severums and i dont want to lose him.

I have seen this wart like growth at the base of the pectoral fin in several spiecies,but it seems more common in angels and severums.I have not seen a totaly effective treatment,but nitrofurazone helps with some of the infection that comes with it.I have seen fish survive with the problem for several years.You have a beautiful male severum. I don't think it will effect it's breeding or be contagious to the young.

thank you for the info i wanted to update i went down to check on him and it looks like the bumps are gone now and now it is just an open wound like as if it popped .
