i noticed to today that my red cebial has a chunk out of his face and its starting to turn white. i just set up a 29 gallon for him and i used about 75 percent of used water to try to speed up the tank cycle so i can put him in asap. the fish are picking on him right now in the bigger tank. so here is a picture of him and do you think if i can put him in the tank tonight with melfix and just watch the ph and nitrites and if they go up just do a quick water change. i hope i am correct

That should work.also keep an eye on ammonia and make sure You have good aeriation as the melafix can lower oxygen levels.
