Hey there.

I was interested in setting up a tiny 2.5 gallon RCS tank, with some driftwood, and java moss. Just wondering an approximate number of shrimp I could have in there after the original 5 breed? I have a 10 gallon I can transfer excess into if needs be.

Thanks Eric.

A 10-gallon tank can hold 100 Red Cherry Shrimp.
So a five gallon would have 50
Half a five-gallon is 2.5 gallons so that'll be about 25 shrimp you could have.

Just go done upgrading my shrimp tank from a 10 to a 20g tank. I had the 10g running for about 3 years. My conservative estimate for shrimp I transfered was well over 400. Also had 24 baby bristlenose plecos too. Weird thing was I could not find the male pleco, must have died and got cannibalized and consumed by the shrimp.
