I saw a few of these cute little guys at petsmart, pretty cheap. Could they live in a plastic container, and do they need heating?

Also, I've got a big crayfish, maybe 5 or 6 inches excluding the claws. These wouldn't happen to be good feeders for him, would they?

basically, they're semi-terrestrial and BW like most crabs. so they're going to need a paludarium. the cray would probably eat them when they're molting.

Oh, how much salt should I put in? Also, the salt is in grains; how do I dissolve it so it can be used?

You'll need marine salt. Marine salt has directions on the container. You'll have to experiment with the amount to get the right salinity.

2tbsp per gallon will give you a salinty of approx. 1.004 if your using instant ocean. the amount needed varies only a little bit from manufacturer to manufacturer.
