I had a Red Lousianna Crayfish last year. He was like a dog. The first few days we got out of the tank twice. The first time he hid behind the tank when I walked by he came out and chased me down the hall. The second time I found him in the spare bedroom. More like he found me. I went in there looking for him but didn't find him, then I heard a noise and out he came from under a pile of stuff on the floor. I guess he was thristy.
He had tons of personality. He'd always come out of his cave when I came up to the tank (to attack the glass). I rearranged the rocks and a few weeks later I saw a tenicale missing. It must have gotten caught in the rocks and pulled off. He had a hard time finding food after that and finailly died.
