red claw/mountain crabs with jag?

Does anyone know if red claws would do better than crayfish in with my jag? I'd like to have something in the tank to clean the bottom of uneaten food. It seems my jag has recently acquired a taste for crayfish so I'm not planning on putting many more in there and he also recently killed my catfish and I don't plan on buying anymore of them the only one the jag doesn't screw with is the royal pleco, for whatever reason. But yeah any insight or help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys

if your speaking of the Mountain Crabs native to New Zeland ..they are not ment to be in full aqutic tanks ...they need dry land as well
