I currently have a 90g African Cichlid setup. In it are the following fish, all males:

5 Yellow Labs (yellow)
5 Red Zebras (orange)
1 Melanochromis Maingano (blue)
1 Fuelleborni (blue)
1 Mbamba (purple)
1 Nyererei Red (red/green/yellow)
1 Zebra Obliquiden (yellow/pink/black)

As you can see, i'm a color guy. No breeding, just yet. I'm looking for a blood-red cichlid, has to be African. Or a green colored cichlid. I like the mess of colors as I feed them, as does any guests and my family.

I asked member Knowdafish about the fish in his avatar and it's a Super Red Asian Arowana. Illegal in the US, and far too big for my tank and it's inhabitants. Dang! haha. Any help?

well as far as red goes, there are some haps/peacocks, but i don't know how well they would do in your setup.

ruby red, german red peacocks. although they tend to be orange/red. With haps you have the super red empress, which imo gets to big for a 90.

This is kind of pushing it, but I keep Jeweled Cichlids in with rift lake cichlilds. They are nice looking and seem to get along fine. I think that would work for you (provided the jewels were decent sized)
