red devil and convict cichlid hybrid

Sure it's possible, I can't say I've seen it myself but there is nothing except getting the fish to pair up that would prevent it. I would think the best chance would be a really big male convict and a small female RD. Maybe someone in the hybird section would have some first hand info on this, I'm just speculating.
Like stated above, i'm sure it's possible.I have had convicts breed with cuban and rtm.I would say Your best bet would be to grow several up togather and see if anyone pairs off
I am wondering why you would want to cross these fish. To make a bright red devil with black stripes. That wouldnt get as big. Sounds like it would possibly make a sexy cross. I have never seen such a cross. And would seem like it would be vary hard to get them to pair up. And even if they did dont think the pair would last long sence a rd gets way bigger and would eventually beet the convict to deeth. Atleast this is my view of it. Any ways good luck if you try it. And should probaully post this in the hybrid section to get a better responce. Or atleast the breeding section
