Id have a 3rd fish around the same size maybe a buttakofri, blackbelt, a big texas cichlid, or a dovii a little smaller than the 2. Ive kept them together before they will fight thats a given, there cichlids haha. How big is the tank they will be going into?

in my experience its better to grow them up together, but u will need to upgrade eventually someday. But a 75 is great for a gow out tank till about 5inches then u will probably see increasing fighting, yeah but still id get 3rd fish for the tank, if i were u id go with a black belt but thats just me haha, one of my favorites.

i had a 12 inch male jag and a 5 inch male devil together. worked perfectly since the jag was pretty mellow and alot bigger. but if theyre the same size the devil will surely be the dominant one. jags arent as aggressive as everyone thinks. i meen there are a few exceptions to each case but every devil i have had was mean.

i agree about he devils, they fight to the death for territory.

I had a jag and rd in my 300 and they killed all my other stock together. They were both 6" and were the smallest fish in the tank. They never messed with each other just everyone else
