hey everyone just wondering what the average growth rate for jaguars and red devil(assuming proper tank size, tec...)

i have a RD and its @ about 11" and maby like 13 months.. just optomise water conditions, feed high protein foods. i like crickets and earthworms on top of a daily dose of hikari goldand yeah keep it in a sufficientsized tank. so id say like an inch a month till like 10" give or take

My Rd has went from 1.5" to 7" in 41/2 mths

bout the same as RD, could be a little more. it all just depends on tank/filter specs. and a lot of it i believe is if the fish is comfortable... sound funny but i think it plays a big role in growth for the first year or so. i would also take this into consideration when selecting tankmates. so are you trying to decide between the two, do you have the two , or what? i wuldnt get the 2 unless you had like a 200+ but either seperately could be comfortable in a 75 or so.

i have them both i a 75 right now... there only 3 inches. the rd bullys the jag a little but he has plenty of hiding places.... im looking 4 another 75, to put the other in. i agree with u though,, comfort does play a huge role... i change the water in my tank every 3 days, and i have plenty of hiding places to reduce stress. they both have grown an inch in UNDER A MONTH!!! im pretty excited.

Yea man both these fish are awsome!! the jag will probably grow a little bit faster though depending on how much you feed him. Enjoy these fish!!

hi i have had a jag that grew from 2"-7" in 6 months but my old female(R.I.P) took about a year to get to 10" but she didn't get much bigger than that and lived for 7 years or so hope this helps:)
