I have'nt looked into breeding for a while. I haven't even been in a fish store for a month, because my freinds keep on draging me around and I can't find any time. Today I stopped into Eral may, and in the back tank, wich most people don't even see, I saw a 5" red devil by itself, with a good sized hump on its head. I son't know why it was alone-either the others were sold, it was a trade in so they want to know what the fish employee wants to do wih it, or its to aggressive(I'll ask tomarrow). I have a 3.75" red devil with a white stomache on one side. first I want to know how to ell the differece between male and female, then how to breed them. I know that these are more aggressive cichlids, but I'll work out were to breed them when I know if I might ave a pair. its $15.

Nevermind about the RD on RD breeding. My RD and Giant king kong parrot are getting ready to breed. Please go to hybrids to give advice
I say go for it a good looking RD that size for 15 bucks is a good deal! Best of luck! Oh yeah the hump on the head is a good indicator of a male but also the nostrils and fins will help you determine the sex of your RD.
