I put a red devil in the tank in my classroom (I'm a teacher) and it's very healthy and growing fast (more than 5 inches now) but it is still a creamy yellow color. I am wondering if the fish is going to turn red or stay yellow. I have seen some pics of adult red devils that are orange or pink but not yellow. The fish is being fed blood worms twice per day as well as "color-enhancing" cichlid pellets and is in a 60 gallon tank. It's only neighbors are feeder fish, which it also eats pretty regularly. I got the fish at the beginning of September and it was less than 2 inches. Thanks for any tips.

Yeah Calihawk, the kids love to feed him and after a week or two getting used to the environment he really found his appetite. I put 6 feeders in there yesterday at lunch and he was chowing down on the last one when I left at 4:00. BTW Sorry about posting in the wrong section. And there's no chance of the school ponying up for a larger tank but if when he gets too big I'll just put him in my 100 at home and watch him eat all my wife's barbs.:)
