So ill be getting a male and female adult devils to put in my 6 ft 125 gallon tank so I was wondering would it be possible to also have a adult armored catfish ill be getting them all at the same time so no one will have already established territory

+1 if you end up with fry don't be surprised if the devils take over 5.5ft of the tank and the cat ends up wedged at one end probably behind I filter pipe , IMO most aggressive breeding cichlids will do the same thing and devils are up there with the best

Unless your purchasing an already proven pair, I wouldn't even bank on your Devils getting along wih each other. Unless they have multipe fish to spread aggression they are usually very hard on tank mates. If they aren't bonded and you're starting with fairly small fish (under 6" or so), I'd suggest a group (5-7) so they can pair off on their own and you can grow out and sell or re-home the others. You'd probably be able to get a Cat in there while the aggression is spread providing you give it plenty of hiding spaces too.

You would be lucky if they get along without tankmates. So I would pass. Keep a divider handy.

I was at one point trying to keep a community labiatus tank with a 210. I could not keep aggression in check as they would attack each other relentlessly. They would kill one another until they got down to abt 3 then start on the convicts & Texas I had in there. That was with sub adults with no pairs formed
