RED DEVIL HELP PLEASE!!

I would like to purchase a male or female to go with the fish that I have now but I have some people telling me its a male and some saying that its a female. I've noticed that since I first got it a couple weeks ago its head has grown. Which is it??

look at its vent from the side, if its curved and pointy its a male, rounded its a female.... cant tell for sure frome the pics but i would hazaerd a guess at male.

Let me know if I'm wrong but from what you said that means this fish is a male?
