One of my Red Devils, Is about 4" long.
Everything in the tank seams very healthy.
Full water check, Everything normal.
Nothing new has been introduced in the last month.
I noticed a bruise on the gill plate the other day.
It doesn't look bruised anymore, But it looks like this.
Is this really an injury, Or something else.
Tank contains Oscars, RDs, JDs, And a couple Algae eaters.
This is the best picture I could get, She is quite active And camera shy.

There is a large piece of driftwood with knots on it,
A large gator skull, And some rocks piled up on the back wall.
It could have hit any of them.

looks like she smucked her gill plate and smashed the f outta it, keep an eye on it but may be a long term damaged face, gill plate damages hardly ever heal properly and are slow heals too,

You were one of the ones I wanted to reply. And I tend to agree with you.
But I wanted a second opinion. Thanks for replying.
