Okay I have a 180 gallon tank and was wondering if I over stocked a little and had no decor just gravel as substrate to cover the bottom would I be able to get away with putting all red devils / Midas ?

I think it is also possible... but it may take some trial and error. Some fish just won't tolerate tank mates under any circumstances. You'd probably have better luck getting them as small as possible and raising them together.

Hey first post :)

I would worry when 1 pair or multiple pairs start to breed that they would batter the other tank mates :)

Sounds good guy but I thought it over and it may be smart to just get 1 big male for a solo fish in my 72 gallon bow front this way he will stay in Perfect condition seems like a better idea now that if been thinking it threw more

Midas Cichlids can get HUGE reaching fourteen inches. My midas is in a hundred by himself and he is very healthy. If you want the midas to get fourteen inches i would put no more than three midas in a 180
