Red devil (midas) sexing

Can someone tell me if my red devil is male or female? He/She has been moving rocks in the corners off my tank, has two dug and digging another. he/she is also getting very territorial and chasing away anyone that goes near the corners. Ive been watching it and it does this weird shaking when over the holes, any ideas why? thanks

It's tough... But I'll have to say male. Although I have seen female with that nuchal hump as well.

It's going to be hard to accurately sex from that picture. It's better to get a vent photo to sex RD/Midas. Both males and females can grow nuchal humps. Males will also clean areas and dig pits. They will defend these areas from other fish just like females.
