Okay, guys, I have a 300 gallon aquarium with a 75 gallon sump. So far, this is my stocking:

1x Clown Knife (20 inches)
7x Clown Loaches (5-8 inches each)
1x Ornate Bichir (15 inches)
1x Gold Severum (8 inches)
1x Thin Bar Datnoid (8 inches)
1 Fire Eel (28 inches)
1x Jade Sleeper Goby (10 inches)
5x Silver Dollars (4-6 inches each)
1x Blood Red Parrot (7 inches)
1x Geophagus (7 inches)

These fish have been together now for a long time. They grew up together. For instance, the clown knife, ornate bichir and goby were about 4 inches each when I bought them a year and a half ago. The thin bar datnoid was about 2.5 inches when I purchased it about 2 years ago etc. They all grew up with the loaches. I got the loaches already big when I purchased them to avoid problems later. I have a seperate 55 gallon grow out tank. I was thinking of buying either a red devil OR a green texas cichlid around 2 inches and letting them grow out in my 55. When it gets to be around 5 inches, I wanted to add it to the 300 gallon. I NEVER feed feeders to my fish to keep aggression levels low and also for health reasons. They have a strict diet of carnivore and massivore pellets, krill and earthworms. I am thinking of adding squid to their menu. Anyway, my CK rules the tank, as you can no doubt imagine. I know that these two cichlids are very aggressive, but I was thinking if I chose one and introduced it to the tank when they are only 5 inches it would behave himself and grow up in harmony with the rest of the tank. I am thinking perhaps the CK will keep the RD OR GTC in line. Let me know what you think!

I think your overstocked as is, but if its working for you then all the power too you, and a 5 inch red devil isnt nice they are pretty nasty all on there own, in addidtion if there are females present it will only complicate matters.. good luck, if i was in your shoes i'd start thininng out the herd not buying more for it
