red devil or midas

hi i have a baby red devil and what is supposed to be a midas i got these at petsmart the red is about 2in i put the red in a 30g then today i added a midas the midas is a vivid red color the devil is a pale color with a brownish stripe down the side these guys fought when i added the midas then it was over now they seem like best buds no aggression at all i moved them to a 65g with a convict and they all seem fine together i have read how mean these guys are but to be honest I'm not seeing any type of this at all is this normal? also do the midas look like the devils when there small these look just like each other but the devil has black eyes and dull color and what looks like a white patch coming in the midas is awesome red with red eyes and seems to run the tank after the fight the devil don't mess with him anymore

its a dominance thing, they are all good until one snaps

yes, when they are that young, just be aware that when they hit about 4 or 5 inches they will snap and kill about anything. my female just laid eggs and i cant even get on one side of the 220 to clean it because shell jump out of the tank at me.

yes, you can usually see a difference when they start to age a bit.

Devils have a longer face and bigger lips, midas have flater faces.

almost definitely a midas/devil hybrid. they will have 2 seperate tanks for the 2 species, but there are mix bloods in both tanks. if you want a pure one of either order from a reputable breeder/supplier, like rapps.
 
hopefully you're not planning on keeping them in that tank permanently?
