Red Devil or, what is it?

About 3.5 inches, and it was in a tank of red devils. Probably some sort of amphilophus hybrid I realize, but do you think it will change to orange or stay the same color? As always, sorry for the bad pics.

Looks like it's about to start peeling to me. Already showing the red highlights. They generally start to morph shortly after that.
 
def. not a texas....could easily be a pet store rd/midas. also always a chance it could be a low grade flowerhorn but my guess right now is on rd/midas. :)

Agreed. Doesen't seem to have trimac traits showing and looks more like a barred cross. i just don't see the FH in it. I say cross.
 
Thanks for all the replies! I am hoping for either a regular or barred RD/midas. Also hoping for male so I can breed it with my female RD/midas.
