Red devil question

[Cichlids-r-beasts]

So I recently bought a red devil (midevil if we wanna be precise lol) at my LFS, now I know that devils when young have big eyes but I saw someone say that large eyes usually mean the fish is stunted. Now I’m paranoid and overthinking things. Looking for opinions.

Doesn‘t look stunted at all. Pretty normal.
