hi, just bought this one today, size is around 14 cm, is this male or female?
and how to tell the different between male n female?

it's kind of small but looks to be female? better wait for the experts to be sure

Take a picture of the tube that sometimes is popping out if its butt........A thin tube indicates male.......A thivk tube indicates female..............The fish in the photo looks like a hybrid.........By looks, I would say female because I see no sign of nuchal hump on the forehead...........

Try to get some vent pics, or as previously suggested breeding apendage pictures

there will only be guesses. The fish is so skinny and small. Male or female, if malnourished and unfed, it will look like that. Cant tell. Too skinny, sickly, and small. U just got that from the lfs right? That's usually how they come from lazy lfss..

but feed it well and take good care of the water. It will be nice for sure.

It's impossible to tell. Most RD/Midas you get from pet stores are a hybrid of the two species. It's impossible to guarantee a purebred unless you obtain the fish from a reputable source that has wild-caught fish, such as Jeff Rapps.
