red devil sexing question

I know the only for sure way to tell is to vent the fish, I have one, round 3-4 inches...looks as if tho it is possibly growing a nice little hump but I am unsure. Am hoping it turns out to be male. Any thoughts? Thanks

A vent shot would give a 100% answer. I've seen and had females with nuchal humps.

How is the best way to do this? I think I know but have never taken a vent shot or really looked as all others of mine are should I say more easily sexually identifiable. Hope its a little boy

Hes only a little guy but awesome, doesnt really back down from much. Could anyone help to explain to me how to take a better picture so that I could find out if its a male? Thanks

Only way i know of it to net the fish, grab it by top and turn them around with a person nearby to take the shot of the vent.

I tried to take a picture like you said but my phone sucks. Think I failed, but least I got to finally take a real measurement. Ill post them but they look wayy to blurry to tell.
