RED DEVIL/TEXAS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Red Devils are rather aggressive, and grow large. As are Texas cichlids. It would be really cramped in there. There are people that have made it work I guess, but it just doesn't look right. 100gal minimum would be your best bet.

You may get away with keeping them together for a while but I highly doubt that two adult Cichlids such as a Red Devil and a Texas would tolerate each-other. Consider a pair of the same type.

the only way I could see them getting along is if they became a mated pair, but even then with the highly aggressive nature of red devils there is no guaruntee they would get along all the time. I'd suggest a minimum of a 125 or other tank with similar footprint to attempt mixing red devils with other cichlids. :grinyes:

Also depends on what kind of company the Midas have had. It possible to moderate its aggressive behaviour by keeping it with other fish from a early age

:iagree: We've krpt Red Devils/Midas for many years....The few raised alone since babies are notorious:wall: for not being able to acculmate:devil: to any other living creature in THEIR tank....
