red devil vs jardini

I have a jardini in with all my sa/ca cichlids and the only one he hates is my red devil. The rd use to stay under a big log and keep away from the jar but now he comes out and pushes back with a pretty big push. ill have to keep my eyes on them and if it gets to rough then ill take on the winner.

the red devil is just starting to test his/her dominance prospects of tank mates. it clearly cannot think he/she is the most dominate if there is large fish in the tank, without testing the "bigger" fishes. i'm sure living under a log gets quite old.

I just don't think Jars like red fish...my Jar HATES the red snook he lives with...

ya i agree. i think its all about the red. i also have a female festa in theere but the black bars break up the color so she doesnt get bothered.

I would move the RD. You should be glad that your jardini accepts other fish as tank mates. Mine KILLS EVERYTHING!!!!!! RD's are cool but common and the jardini might get damaged if they keep pushing each other around...
