Have had a nice male rd in my 90 for about a week now. About 10 in very active aggressive and healthy looking always displaying and digging. Problem is I have yet to see him eat anything ive offered hikari gold nightcrawlers frozen krill and bloodworms but it all lays on the bottom till I net it out later a few krills seem to disappear over night so maybe hes eating them or they could be just buried by his constant mound building any ideas?

I'm having the same problem with a RD in the LFS I work at. He'll only eat live fish but that's usually after an hour or so. But at least he's eating those.

Belly looks normal not sunken at all. Lfs said he was on pellets there. My water params are good mwvee had a fish pass up krill or crawlers always gluttons before. Worst part is this stuff is not cheap and im just throwing it away

My new one took 3-4 days to start eating, he still doesn't take much food

He is probably eating at night when there is less disturbance from things outside of the aquarium. He may also just be adjusting to his new environment. He'll be ok. The LFS could have had him on a different brand or type of food. It may take a few days for your RD to take to his new food if that is the problem.
