has any one ever heard of a festae and RD hybrid, or if its possible, because I dont think festae are part of "amphiophus" anymore (or ever?). if you've seen it please post pics!
 
They are both Amphilophus so I suspect it's possible? As for whether it's been done, try googling it.

I'm pretty sure it can be done. RT and RDs are not to far removed from each other. But why does this interest you? The fry would probably look like crappy flowerhorns.
 
they do look a little like flowerhorns i have about 120 of them they are now4 months old and pretty mean. They actually killed the mother( FRT) by nipping her to death after she spen so long protecting them!
