RED DEVIL

In a 90 I don't know what you can add with a red devil. Mabe a female? But even then you have to be lucky. You could also try a pleco.

Either very fast dither fish or very discreet bottom dwellers. Devils are known for...devilry.

I had some giant danios in my 100g with my male devil. They were too fast for him but he did catch a few at nighttime.

Don't add any other cichlids or slow-moving fish, though. He'll get rid of them.

Feeders :D

Seriously maybe some dithers like tinfoil barbs or bala sharks but thats a BIG maybe, you would have to really watch and see. Maybe even take the RD out for a week get the dithers in there and put the RD back. Also might want to change the aquascape around and do a hefty water change before putting him back. Hopefully he treats the tank as a new environment and that might help him except the dithers. Be prepared to remove the dithers at any sign of over aggressiveness.

No other cichlid would work IMO.

Good luck.

yeah i agree with what others have said, you would be lucky to even get him to accept a female in that size tank, maybe just try a fancy pleco or something

what are some good tank matess for red devils. I have him in a 90 gal tank

Depending on the size of the red devil, a pair is what can only fit in a 90g.......Usually you would buy 3-4 juveniles and let them grow up together, naturally pairing..........

i had a bunch of them with some jaguar cichlids in my 40, they outgrew it and then i threw em back in the wild.

just making sure theyre all fed is the main thing i suppose.

 Where are you from? If you're not near that fishes native waters then you probably should not be releasing them into the wild... fed or not. Hope you're not really in Hawaii... thats a really bad place to let them go.
