Hi everyone, I have a Red Devil aptly named Lucifer. He does quite well with a Yellow Zebra, albino Pseudotropheus socolofi, plecostomus and standard Malawi Blue. Never fight and always seem to get along even during feeding. Are there any other tankmates that would be suitable for these guys? May firemouths, or should I simply stick to Malawi breeds?

You are pretty lucky to have RD that tolerates others. What size are the fish and what size tank are then? Without that info it is hard to help.
I had Texas cichlids with mine Midas, convicts, flowerhorns with mine. When my red devil found a mate he killed them all day by day. I just had a pair and now I have 20 adult size midas/red devil living in them( their babies).
They're called Red Devils for a reason mine is 16 inches and he's a big dude. I bought him at 12 inches and 6 years later he's a monster. Funny thing is I bought him thinking it was a female since he had no hump what so ever.

Found them. Some say hes a Midas but I just call him a red devil. No hump and thats his wife. She was at 6-7 inches at that time. I had this fish for a very long time and sold him recently. I believe he came out to 15.75 inches I just say 16 inches. His tail is around 5 inches itself.
Hes very LONG and not that tall.
I bought him at a foot long and it took him 6 years to grow only a few more inches. He wouldn't fit in a bucket when I sold him I had one of those boxes at the fish store I had to give him away in.
