Hey guys, I recently just purchased 2 flowerhorns from eBay about 2 months ago and I'm wondering if they are turning out OK. Ive read a lot of bad stuff about flowerhorns online ordering and this is my first shot at trying to keep these guys. Any tips?.. They are highly aggressive already but mostly towards each other. They are in a grow out tank with a Escondido pearlscale, some baby convicts and a Texas cichlid.

They look fine. Maybe not MP quality. But fine none the less. May need to think about separating them soon. Could turn out nice. One of my first FH was like those. Got it off the internet too. Turned out pretty nice! Big head, colorful, and huge! Clean water and quality food. That's all they really need.

Thanks so much! They are great fish with awesome personality!

May I see a picture of Ur flowerhorn?
That was such a long ago. I can check but I don't think I have a pic anymore. He was one of my first fh's and the one that actually got me to like fh's. I thought they were kinda ugly before that. Personality wise he was and still is one of my favorites. I forgot where I got him from, but it was from a kinda shady site. When he came in he was so dark and ugly. With some care and time he turned into a beauty. His head exploded and his colors came in. Bright red and pearly. Massive too!

OK so my one flowerhorn has something protruding from the bottom, I'm not sure if it's a spike or an egg tube... Any thoughts?

It's a female. You notice it swimming around any other fish possibly the other FH or texas (escondido)? Maybe moving gravel around to build a nest? It may spawn soon.
