Red dragon male hides

Hey guys, I've had this male red dragon for sometime now. All I notice is that he likes to hide under my uv light filter thing in the corner. An idea why? I can't figure it out.

Whats your temp in your tank ? I wonder if he likes the heat from that UV light, maybe the temperature in your tank is too low for his liking?

Bare bottom? If so throw a thin layer of gravel in. His reflection could be spooking him especially if he's staying under a light.

He's a good size with a nice kok! I've had him for maybe 6months or so. I'll have to take a picture later. Just got to work
