I have a friend at work who has several (I forget how many) Red Ear Sliders that she has had for about 8 years. She says they are pretty large, and wishes she could get rid of them so she could have room for Discus again. I told she should sell them, to which she replied, Who would want them that would give them a good home? And, "How much could I get for them"? I told her I knew nothing about turtles, but would try to help her find out. So, how much do you guys think several 8 yr. old turtles are worth each?

Id say about $30-$50 is what someone would pay for them but if they were in a shop id guess they would be triple that but like krzr3000 said people may not want them.
They sell adults around me for about $20 bucks. But yeah, if one was smart they'd just adopt one from a reptile rescue. If your friend has a back yard they could always build a pond for them to live in.
yea i'd just get a little pond, one of the plastic ones (see craigslist.org) and put a little fence around it and give them that, then you have discus and your beloved turtles
