Red eared slider tank help!!

I have a red eared slider almost about 10-11 inches and I need a bigger tank for her. I know someone selling a 100 gallon acrylic fish tank or plexiglass but my question is if I were to put a heat lamp inside the tank and not full the tank all the way up will the heat lamp melt the tank over time or will it be ok as long as the lamp isn't touching the inside part of the acrylic/plexi??

Should be fine. i would not recommend an acrylic tank, you wont see your turtle after a few months, it will be all scratched.

crap. look at my new thread. its acrylic. man im going to have to file her claws down. haha jk well if it gets too bad ill have to find a gof deal for glass
