Red eye on scomb

While doing a wc today, I noticed that the bottom half on one of my scomb's eyes is blood shot red. I don't see any puncture wounds from the others or any marks at all showing it's been attacked. What should I do about this?

I agree but I've had these 3 scombs for over a year now and today is the first time I've seen this. It's only on the 1 eye and the other 2 don't have it

i think the culprit is right in the background. The scomb might of freaked out during the wc and hit it's eye against the lava rock. just a guess.

Possibly but wouldn't I see some sort of scratch or wound if that happened? The eye looks completely normal except now there's red on the bottom half.
