I had one of these guys awhile back, but sadly he died from a high ph :(. But right now I have an empty 10gal and I was wondering if you think I could fir a male and female red eye in there? I was planning on making it heavily planted with lots of hiding spots. Thanks!

Depends which red eye species your talking about as there are a few freshwater red eye species of puffers out there...

He will constantly chase her around, hiding spots or none. Mine is absolutely ruthless. Id do a slightly bigger tank, say a 55, in conjunction with 1 males and 4 females. That will help spread the tormenting around and tire him out a little. Those guys love to chase tail lol.

+1!

This is the red eye puffer I am talking about. So I should just keep either 1 male or one female? If I just kept one male what else could I put in with him?

These puffers are extremely aggressive. SPECIES ONLY TANK.

Ah ok, one male or female I guess then lol. I'll have pics once I get him or her.

I almost picked up one of those before... kinda regret not getting them since i've only seen them for sale once over here....

I have a male Salivator, which i think that is. You def want a male, way more color and way more aggression, flaunting, and personality. Mine has ridges on its head and belly that it stands straight out when its showing off for me. Awesome fish.

^ yeah that is a Salivator... unless i'm mistaken... cool puffer indeed...
