Red FH? Long body Parrot?

Hey, anybody know what this is?

Just found it on aquabid and took a chance. It’s listed as ‘deep red female’

I want to breed it to a pink con male

I seen that on aquabid but avoid that seller for lots of reasons... It looks like a long bodied parrot and its probably as simple as that. Hope it arrives and stays that red. Also hope it is actually a female.

Your fish looks like a fresh parrot cross. See gregthecrazyfishguy parrot x devils. Thai srm can have distorted iris like parrot. Here's a bad quality picture of a nice faded female srm

You said you got it to breed to a pink con? Since the pink is from leucism and thats recessive, it will take both parents passing the leucism genes on. So in this case it will be like you are / might as well be using a regular convict cichlid. You might take a look at the brehidori x convict thread towards the top of this forum by Romanian member Mark. Your fish will have stronger fading genes so could get 50% fade out but until then they will be stripey grey random mutts.

I do mainly want to work with leucistic cons, and make parrot cons, maybe add some sb Tex as well.

What I have in mind long term will be small spangled parrot cons, like white or red kirrins that stay smaller

I saw some fish that looked identical to this today in NYC. They were being sold as Mammons. I should have taken a picture of them because it was the same exact fish. Size of them was about 4-5 inches.
