red gar

hi, is there any 'red gar' species? I visited lfs just now, and I saw a florida gar that the lfs owner told me it was a red florida, but I wasnt sure about it, so I didnt by the gar. The only red color I saw only around the mouth and the tails, and it wasnt that red anyway.

I don't think there are, but i bought a Florida Gar that has taken on an odd red color, but I don't think he's actually a Florida.

it just may have some red pigmentation. but if its around the mouth and tail chances are it irritation and not something he should be bragging about.
