just wanted to know your thoughts about a tank with maybe 8 red geo (surinamensis) cichlids with a couple of arowanas.
i was thinking of restarting one of my tanks with this combination.
so please tell me any information you have on this, it would really help so i dont end up putting these fish together and something happens. haha

It may work dude, seen this combo b4, you might get a more detailed response though posting this in the arowan forum or cichlid forum, maybe one of the mods can move it for you..

geos go perfectly well with aros IME, but from the sound of it you better be ready to buy a very big tank. 300g, minimum. I'd also recommend against multiple aros

They say if you're going to keep Arowana's that you should have 1. If you want more than one you have to have a minimum of 3, ideal would be 5 to ease aggression. But you'd have to have a huge tank to even think about keeping 5 Aro's, and spare tanks so if they don't get along you can seperate them. I currently am an exception to the rule. I have 2 Aro's getting along just great, but whenever I add a third they get really aggressive and begin to fight...

ohh cool cool.
what type or arrows do you have together? silvers?
and do they have any tank mates?

Right now I have 2 silvers with a clown knife, and a smaller silver with a clown loach and some polys. My fish are all in my sig color coded to which tanks they're in.
