Hey guys. I purchased 5 red head geos, ranging from 4 inches to 1.5 inches. The two largest ones are a male and a female. I had them all growing out in a 20 long until they can go into my 180. I do intend to breed them.

The problem I am having is that the two large ones which i believe have paired up are attacking the smaller ones. They've killed off the other male (I had 3 females and 2 males). What do I do right now. Should I remove the 2 smaller ones that are left and put them into my sump to grow out? I've heard that as a pair geos do attack each other so any suggestions would be great... Thanks.

I'd separate them until they can go in the 180. If the larger ones are 4", what is keeping them from the 180 right now?

Agreed.

If I move the two larger ones to a 40 gallon will they fight or will they be okay since they dance around and seem to be a pair?

the pair is way cramped for space. geos are peaceful & normal aggression only chases others away from their spawn sites. no killing.
