From what I have read there are different types of red head topajos, does anyone have pics of the different types / species, whatever you wanna call it of these fish? Besides the topajos and the steiny is there any other geos that stay a little smaller, under 8"?? Thanks guys

I assume you are asking about Geophagus sp. "Tapajos Orange Head"? There's only one. There's no "red head".

A very similar species (let's not argue if it's a separate species) is Geophagus sp. "Araguaia Orange Head". Almost identical, but Japes can tell you the difference if you are interested.

G. pindare stays fairly small. Actually they are probably smaller than Geophagus sp. "Tapajos Orange Head".

I talk to the local fish store and they always say yes yes yes, but then they never come through...plus I would rather get something I know is legit than just an average everyday red head. :)
